what?! horray not a word? it is actually spelled hooray? like, hoo-ray! that makes sense. i have been spelling this word wrong my entire life. i feel like i use it a lot, and yet i never spelled it correctly.
no one ever corrected me.

I didn't even realize you spelled it that way.
Meanwhile, I stubbornly contend that "yeah" is how you spell yeah with a flat a sound, like yak, and "yay" is how to spell yeah that rhymes with hay.
I do not worry about the correct spelling, I just know that is how I feel most comfortable spelling them!
noooo! i think it's officially yay!yeah, is like "yeah sure, whatever."
i also spell yeah as yay! it is just so much more exuberant that way.
i remember when i learned that saucey was actually spelled saucy. i think it sounds saucier with the extra e, i will continue to ignore the red squiggles every time i use it.

Maybe you can create a new definition for the word "horray". Like, "Horray is a word used to sarcastically support an unpalatable idea. A combination of horrible and hooray. i.e. It's snowing in July - Horray!"
This reminds me of the moment I realized that I had been using the word Ambiguous in the opposite manner for as long as I could remember...
